Stories in our Skyline

Held in partnership with Andover Bread Loaf, this program included exercises in writing, listening, drawing, and urban exploration in Lawrence. This resulted in three billboards designed by the students and installed in downtown Lawrence in September 2023. Each of the billboards explored different social concerns in the city, including gentrification, labor, immigration, and the region’s Indigenous roots. The billboard designs subverted spaces traditionally used for consumerism, replacing them with statements of social justice.
